Random drug and alcohol testing for construction workers on all new government-funded projects.

The Herald Sun is reporting that all new Victorian government-funded projects (such as the East-West link tunnel) will face mandatory onsite drug and alcohol testing - starting in the middle of 2014.

Premier Denis Napthine advised the Herald the changes were about dealing with "dangerous work practice", citing "(widespread) reports of illicit drug use and distribution on Victorian construction sites"
